Plant growth regulators improve nitrogen metabolism, yield, and quality of soybean–rhizobia symbiosis

Abstract Purpose In recent years, considerable research has been conducted on the use of plant growth regulators (PGRs) to improve crop yields. Large amounts PGRs are applied regulate growth. However, few studies have assessed impact PGRs, which leave soil residues, microorganisms, especially rhizobia. Methods this study, influence inoculation soybean roots with Sinorhizobium fredii and Bradyrhizobium japonicum exposed gibberellin A3 (GA 3 ) mepiquat chloride (MC) nodule number, nitrogenase activity, a symbiotic nitrogen fixation gene ( fixA expression was studied. The nitrate content, free amino acids, reductase activity roots, seed yield quality were measured.
